Miss Demi loves to write as much as she loves to read. A Southern Belle by birth and Northeasterlander by career path, she grew up on a healthy diet of books and literature. Before publishing her first work in 2002, Miss Demi studied languages, political science, and jazz dance, and worked in marketing and public affairs at a Beverly Hills Public Relations firm. She has authored several books, published several fashion magazines, and ghostwrote even more, including cookbooks, memoirs, and self-help books.
By 2005 Miss Demi had launched her Atlanta-based boutique publishing company Brandon Media. As editor-in-chief of RawImage and ATL Magazine, she interviewed a host of celebrities, jet-setters, fashion designers, gospel artists, comedians, playwrights, musicians, hip-hop choreographers, and politicians from Darrin Henson to Bern Nadette Stanis (Thelma-Good Times), Christian Keyes (The Preacher’s Son), KAS, Shirley Murdock, Etterlene DeBarge, Kevin Hall (Renowned Fashion Designer), Rodney Perry (Coming 2 America), Anthony Johnson (Friday), Tommy Ford (Martin), Kenya Moore (RHOA), TJ Hemphill (Perilous Times), Trenyce (American Idol), Shan Sparks (So You Think You Can Dance, You Got Served), Kamikaze (Crooked Lettaz), Dawn Strozier (Celebrity Personal Trainer), and many more.
Miss Dem appeared on the Joyner Morning Show, twice, hosted an episode of a designation show featuring a major theme park, emceed a popular hair show in Atlanta, produced fashion shows, contributed to print and online magazines, and blogged for a Las Vegas Lender.
Miss Demi is the mother of two incredible college grads on their own career paths. She resides with her husband and best friend of 28 years somewhere in America. She is currently working on a new project and book to be released in 2021. Get ready for Deep South Done: Beyond Gumbo!
